Maple Bourbon Baked Glazed Pears

The topping

chilled heavy cream

maple syrup

ground ginger and/or cinnamon

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- In a saucepan, whisk together the maple syrup, coconut sugar, bourbon, orange juice, ginger, and optional nutmeg over medium heat until it reaches a soft boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes until the glaze thickens.
- Place sliced pears cut side up on a baking sheet and brush with the glaze.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the pears are tender and golden.
- Cool slightly before plating.
- To make whipped cream, mix chilled heavy cream with maple syrup, ginger/cinnamon, and salt, then whip until formed.
- Serve warm pears with whipped cream.
