Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Add the mashed bananas, egg yolk, and sour cream, stirring until the mixture is well mixed.
- Incorporate the flour and chocolate chips, mixing until no dry streaks remain.
- Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- For puffy cookies, bake as is; for flatter cookies, press them gently with a sugared glass.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the centers are no longer wet.
