The fish

  • 1 pound skinless cod fillets

The breading

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (panko)

  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
  • to taste cooking oil (olive oil)

Instructions

  1. Slice the cod into 1-inch strips and pat dry.
  2. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil.
  3. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs with seasonings.
  4. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and seasoned breadcrumbs.
  5. Dip the fish in flour, then egg, and finally breadcrumbs.
  6. Place the fish sticks in the air fryer basket without stacking.
  7. Spray the fish sticks with cooking oil.
  8. Cook for 5 minutes at 400 degrees, then flip and spray again.
  9. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until crispy.
