Ingredients

The fish

  • 3 to 4 fillets cod, halibut, or tilapia (6 ounces each)

The seasoning

  • 3 Tablespoons melted butter or light olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 ½ teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • a pinch paprika
  • a pinch coarse ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley (optional)

Garnish

  • as needed lemon slices or fresh chopped parsley, chervil, and/or chives

Instructions

  1. Pat the fish fillets dry and brush both sides with melted butter or olive oil, then sprinkle with lemon juice.
  2. Whisk together the seasoning ingredients and generously season both sides of the fish fillets.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F and spray the basket with nonstick cooking spray.
  4. Arrange the fish in the air fryer basket and cook for 6 to 14 minutes, depending on the type of fish.
  5. If desired, add a slice of lemon to each filet with 2 minutes remaining.
  6. Ensure the fish reaches an internal temperature of 140-145°F and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
