Instructions
- Combine warm milk, a pinch of sugar, and yeast; let stand until frothy.
- Beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla until dissolved, then add milk mixture and flour, mixing until smooth.
- Add butter, cardamom, and salt, then gradually add flour until dough is soft and can be kneaded.
- Cover and let rise in a warm spot until doubled, about 2 hours.
- Mix sugar and cardamom for filling.
- Roll dough into a rectangle, spread with butter, and sprinkle with cardamom sugar.
- Roll into a log and cut into fat triangles.
- Place on a baking sheet with the narrow tip facing up and let rise for 40 minutes.
- Brush with egg wash, sprinkle with sugar, and bake at 350°F for 18-20 minutes.
