Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9" square baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas with the eggs and date paste until smooth.
- Add the buttermilk, milk, and vanilla extract, and whisk until combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the rolled oats, walnuts, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and stir until well mixed.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then sprinkle with chopped walnuts and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes until set.
- Let cool slightly before cutting into squares and serve warm or cold, garnished with banana slices if desired.
