Meatball Pizza

Ingredients

The meatballs

  • 4 oz 99% fat free uncooked ground turkey breast
  • a pinch garlic powder
  • 4 teaspoons plain dried breadcrumbs
  • 2 teaspoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 ¾ teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 large egg white
  • 2 teaspoons skim milk
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

The pizza

  • 1 12 inch Boboli Whole Wheat Pizza Crust
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • ¾ cup shredded 2% Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the ground turkey, garlic powder, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, ¾ teaspoon of Italian seasoning, egg white, and milk until well combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into 20 mini meatballs, about ¾ to 1 inch in size.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the meatballs until browned and cooked through.
  5. Remove the meatballs and optionally cut them in half for easier placement on the pizza.
  6. Spread pizza sauce over the pizza crust, leaving a ½ inch edge.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then distribute the meatballs evenly on top.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining teaspoon of Italian seasoning over the pizza.
  9. Bake the pizza on a baking sheet, pizza stone, or directly on the oven rack for 8-10 minutes.
