Ingredients

The muffins

  • cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • cup granulated sugar

  • ¼ teaspoon allspice
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 5 tablespoons canola oil
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 small lemon

The streusel topping

  • cup all purpose flour
  • cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
  • 5 tablespoons cold unsalted butter

The glaze

  • cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a muffin pan.
  2. Whisk together the milk and Greek yogurt and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Make the streusel by mixing flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and allspice, then rub in the butter and chill.
  4. In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients for the muffins.
  5. Whisk the remaining wet ingredients into the milk mixture.
  6. Combine the wet and dry ingredients gently until just mixed.
  7. Fill the muffin cups with batter and top with the streusel.
  8. Bake for 18 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool the muffins slightly, then drizzle with glaze.
