smoked chicken dry rub
Instructions
- Preheat the smoker to 275ºF.
- Mix all ingredients for the smoked chicken dry rub in a bowl and set aside.
- Remove excess moisture from the chicken legs with a paper towel.
- Drizzle the chicken legs with olive oil and massage it into the legs.
- Roll each chicken leg in the dry rub until completely covered.
- Place the chicken legs onto the smoker and spray with cooking spray.
- Smoke the chicken legs for 2-2.5 hours, flipping halfway through and spraying again.
- Remove the chicken legs when the internal temperature reaches 170-175ºF.
- Let the chicken legs rest for 5 minutes before serving.
