Ingredients

Baked Wonton Chips

  • 12 pieces wonton wrappers
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or sesame oil
  • 1 tsp fresh lime juice
  • to taste flaky sea salt
  • to taste white sesame seeds

Sriracha Mayo

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp fresh lime juice
  • a pinch salt

Spicy Tuna Tartare

  • 5-6 ounces sushi-grade ahi tuna
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped shallot
  • 1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp sriracha sauce
  • ¼ tsp ginger powder
  • to taste salt

Toppings

  • 1 piece avocado
  • to taste black sesame seeds
  • 2-3 pieces chopped scallions
  • to taste fresh jalapeño slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Cut wonton wrappers in half diagonally to create triangles.
  3. Mix olive oil and lime juice, then brush the mixture onto the wonton triangles.
  4. Sprinkle the triangles with sea salt and sesame seeds, then bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  5. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sriracha, and lime juice for the sriracha sauce.
  6. In another bowl, combine cubed tuna, shallots, soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, sriracha, and ginger powder.
  7. Taste the tuna mixture and add salt if needed.
  8. Arrange the baked wonton chips on a plate, top with the tuna mixture, avocado, and drizzle with sriracha mayo.
  9. Finish with black sesame seeds, scallions, and jalapeños if desired.
