Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream the butter until fluffy, then add the granulated and brown sugars and mix until smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla, mixing until just blended.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing on low speed until combined.
- Fold in the M&Ms by hand to avoid breaking them.
- Roll the dough into balls and place them on the baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then slam the baking sheets on the counter to remove air bubbles.
- Return to the oven for an additional 2 minutes, then cool on the baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack.
