Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Melt the butter over low to medium-low heat, stirring frequently, then remove from heat.
- Stir in the light brown sugar and granulated sugar until melted, then add the egg and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually mix into the butter mixture.
- Fold in the mini M&Ms and chocolate chips.
- Scoop large spoonfuls of cookie dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- Bake for 7 to 9 minutes, until the edges are golden and the centers are slightly doughy.
- Let the cookies rest for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
