Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 ½ cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons bread machine yeast
  • ¾ teaspoon salt

Filling

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Glaze

  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons whole milk

Instructions

  1. Add the milk, eggs, egg yolk, butter, oil, and vanilla to the bread machine pan.
  2. Add the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  3. Set the machine to the dough cycle and start it.
  4. Grease a 13 x 9 baking dish.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and roll it into a 13-inch rectangle.
  6. Brush the dough with melted butter.
  7. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and sprinkle over the dough.
  8. Roll the dough from the long side into a log and cut into 12 rounds.
  9. Place the rounds in the greased baking dish, cover with a damp towel, and let proof for 35 minutes.
  10. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  11. Bake the cinnamon rolls for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Beat the cream cheese in a mixer until smooth, then add powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk to make the glaze.
  13. Let the rolls cool for 10 minutes, then drizzle the glaze on top.
