Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, blend the granulated sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, softened butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a dough forms.
- Shape the dough into 1-inch balls, sprinkle with granulated sugar, and place them on an ungreased cookie sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10 minutes until light golden brown, then immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Remove the cookies from the sheet and place them on a cooling rack.
