Ingredients

The cookie dough

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • cup granulated sugar or cane sugar

The toppings

  • 36 Hershey's Kisses milk chocolates

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a stand mixer, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
  4. Mix in the peanut butter, then add the egg and vanilla, blending well.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture and mix until combined; chill the dough if too sticky.
  6. Scoop out even tablespoons of dough and shape into balls, rolling them in sugar to coat.
  7. Place the balls on the baking sheets, spacing them 1½ inches apart, and bake for 7-9 minutes until nearly set.
  8. Unwrap the chocolates while cookies are baking.
  9. Immediately after baking, gently press a chocolate into the center of each cookie.
  10. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack and refrigerate for 5-10 minutes to let the chocolate set.
