Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the granulated sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, and butter until smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla, then mix for an additional minute.
- Stir in the flour mixture until just combined.
- Shape the dough into balls using 1½ tablespoons of dough for each ball, roll in sugar, and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until cracks appear on top.
- Remove from the oven and immediately press a chocolate heart into each cookie.
- Allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
