Ingredients

The dough

  • 250 g Baker’s flour
  • 3 g dry yeast
  • 3 g sugar
  • 5 g salt
  • 145 ml water

For boiling and topping

  • 750 ml water for boiling
  • 2 tbs bicarbonate soda
  • to taste sea rock salt

Instructions

  1. Combine all dough ingredients in a large bowl and knead for about 10 minutes.
  2. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces.
  3. Roll each piece into a 50 cm rope, twist the ends twice, and flip them onto the middle section.
  4. Boil 750 ml of water with 2 tablespoons of bicarbonate soda.
  5. Boil each shaped pretzel dough for about 3 minutes.
  6. Remove the pretzels and let them rest on baking paper for 10-15 minutes, then sprinkle with sea rock salt.
  7. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  8. Bake the pretzels for 15-20 minutes.
