Instructions
- Arrange the sliced beef on a cutting board and roll half a scallion into each slice, securing with toothpicks.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, oyster sauce, and ginger.
- Place the beef rolls in a dish and cover with the marinade, letting them marinate at room temperature for 20 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the beef rolls for 5-8 minutes.
- Remove the beef rolls from the skillet, transfer the marinade to the skillet, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Let the sauce cool, remove the toothpicks from the beef rolls, and serve with the sauce.
