Beef Negimaki

Ingredients

The beef and vegetables

  • 300 g Thinly sliced beef
  • 8 Blanched scallions
  • ΒΌ carrot Parboiled carrot
  • 8 pieces Parboiled green beans
  • 1 tbs Plain flour or potato starch

The sauce

  • 1 clove Garlic (mashed)
  • 1 tbs Sesame oil
  • 3 tbs Sake
  • 1 tbs Soy sauce
  • 1 tbs Oyster sauce
  • 1 tbs Sugar

Instructions

  1. Cut the blanched scallions into 5cm strips and prepare the other vegetables.
  2. Lay the thinly sliced beef on a board and place the vegetables on one edge, then roll tightly.
  3. Secure the rolls with toothpicks if necessary and repeat until all beef is used.
  4. Cover the rolls with flour.
  5. Heat sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat and place the beef rolls in the pan.
  6. Cook each side for about 2-3 minutes until browned.
  7. Combine all sauce ingredients and pour over the beef rolls in the pan.
  8. Serve with green salad and rice.
