Instructions
- Blanch the scallions in boiling water for 30-45 seconds, then transfer to iced water.
- Slice the flank steak into thin strips and pound them to about 1/8-inch thickness.
- Place 3 scallions on each piece of steak, roll them up tightly, and secure with a toothpick.
- Whisk together the sake, mirin, and soy sauce, then pour over the rolled beef and let marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook the beef rolls until no longer pink, then drizzle with remaining sauce before serving.
