Ingredients

The batter

  • ½ cup unsweetened oat milk
  • 1 whole egg
  • ½ cup egg whites
  • cup vanilla protein powder
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

The bread

  • 8 slices bread
  • as needed none cooking spray

Optional toppings

  • as desired none powdered sugar
  • as desired none butter
  • as desired none honey
  • as desired none maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Whisk together oat milk, egg, egg whites, protein powder, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until combined.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and spray with cooking spray.
  3. Dredge both sides of each slice of bread in the egg mixture and place on the skillet.
  4. Cook each side for 3-4 minutes until slightly browned.
  5. Remove from skillet and top with optional toppings as desired.
