Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder in a small bowl.
- Melt the bittersweet chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water until smooth, then let cool.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale and foamy, then add the vanilla.
- Mix in the cooled chocolate mixture until incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips gently.
- Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them apart.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and bake for 9 to 10 minutes.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
