Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Instructions
- Set aside 2 tablespoons of the butter.
- In a large bowl, beat the remaining butter with brown sugar until well mixed.
- Add the egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla, then mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
- In a saucepan, combine the reserved butter, sweetened condensed milk, and chocolate pieces, cooking over low heat until melted.
- Stir in the remaining vanilla and mix well.
- Press two-thirds of the oat mixture into the bottom of a 9x9 baking pan.
- Spread most of the chocolate mixture over the oat layer, reserving some for later if desired.
- Dot the remaining oat mixture over the chocolate and add the candy pieces on top.
- Bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes until lightly browned.
- Refrigerate for at least 12 hours before cutting.
