Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch cast-iron skillet with 2 tablespoons of butter.
- In a stand mixer, beat the remaining 8 tablespoons of butter with the sugars until light and fluffy, then add the egg and vanilla, mixing until combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients in the mixer, mixing on low speed, then add the chocolate chips and mix until just combined.
- Press the cookie dough into the prepared skillet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the edges are crisp and the cookie is golden.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream.
