Instructions
- Prepare the browned butter by melting it in a light-colored saucepan over medium heat until it foams and turns a light brown color.
- Once browned, transfer the butter to a heat-safe dish and refrigerate for 1 hour until it reaches a softened consistency.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the browned butter, softened butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and vanilla until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Incorporate the baking powder and baking soda, then gradually add the flour, mixing until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop the dough onto a lined baking sheet and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Refrigerate the dough for 3 hours or up to 24 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Bake the cookies for 15-17 minutes, ensuring they are slightly soft in the center.
- After baking, drop the tray onto the counter to flatten the cookies slightly and allow them to cool on the tray for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
