Instructions
- Brown the butter in a sauté pan over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until it turns amber brown.
- Pour the brown butter into a dish and let it cool for one hour.
- In a large bowl, beat the cooled brown butter with brown and white sugar until creamy.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until well mixed.
- Chop the chocolate bar into small chunks and mix into the dough along with the chocolate chips.
- Chill the dough for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- When ready to bake, roll the dough into 2 tbsp-sized balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F for 12-14 minutes until lightly golden brown around the edges.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and let cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
