Instructions
- Brown the butter in a light-colored skillet over medium heat until it turns a light amber color and has a nutty aroma, then chill until solid.
- Beat the chilled brown butter in a mixing bowl until smooth, then add granulated and brown sugars, mixing until light and fluffy.
- Incorporate the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt, then gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Add milk and chocolate chips, mixing until combined, then cover and chill the dough for at least 2-3 hours.
- Preheat the oven and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop and roll the chilled dough into balls and bake until golden brown around the edges.
