Ingredients

  • 2 to 4 tablespoons neutral flavored oil

Instructions

  1. Toast sesame seeds in a dry saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring constantly for 3 to 5 minutes until fragrant and lightly colored.
  2. Transfer toasted seeds to a baking sheet or plate and let them cool completely.
  3. Add cooled sesame seeds to a food processor and process until a crumbly paste forms, about 1 minute.
  4. Drizzle in oil while processing for 2 to 3 more minutes, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
  5. Check the consistency; it should be smooth and pourable. Add more oil if necessary and blend until smooth.
  6. Season with salt to taste and blend for an additional 5 to 10 seconds to incorporate.
