Grilled Cajun Chicken Wings

Ingredients

The wings

  • 2 lbs chicken wings

The seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Mix the seasonings in a small bowl.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a large bowl.
  3. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the wings and toss to coat.
  4. Arrange the wings on a wire rack inside a baking sheet lined with foil, leaving space between each wing.
  5. Refrigerate the wings uncovered for 6-8 hours or overnight.
  6. Bring the wings to room temperature and wrap them in foil packets.
  7. Preheat the grill to 350°F and place the foil packets on it.
  8. Cook the wings for 10 minutes, then flip the packets and cook for another 10 minutes.
  9. Cut open the top of the packets and cook for an additional 6-8 minutes to dry them out slightly.
  10. Remove the packets from the grill and serve with dressing, celery sticks, and lemon juice.
