Instructions
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and add sliced onions, cooking until softened.
- Reduce heat and continue cooking onions until deep golden, about 20-25 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then form into 2 patties.
- Cook patties in a skillet with butter over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side until desired doneness.
- Assemble the sandwich by layering cheese, beef patty, caramelized onions, another slice of cheese, and bread.
- Butter the skillet and cook the assembled sandwich until browned, pressing down with a spatula.
- Flip the sandwich and cook until the other side is browned and cheese is melted.
- Slice in half and serve immediately.
