Ingredients

The blondie base

  • 2 1/8 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

The mix-ins

  • 1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped Lay's Wavy Original Potato Chips
  • ¼ cup additional chopped potato chips for the top
  • to taste sea salt for sprinkling on top

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sea salt, and baking soda.
  3. In a stand mixer, combine the melted butter and sugars until mixed, then add eggs and vanilla and mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix on low until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and potato chips.
  6. Spread the blondie dough into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Add additional potato chips on top and sprinkle lightly with sea salt.
  8. Bake for 28–30 minutes until golden brown and edges pull away from the pan.
  9. Allow to cool on a wire rack, then cut into squares and serve.
