The bread
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients except the bread in a large, shallow bowl and refrigerate for 10-20 minutes to activate the chia seeds.
- Preheat a griddle to medium heat and grease with vegan butter or coconut oil.
- Dip each slice of bread in the batter for about 20 seconds on each side.
- Cook on the griddle until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve with desired toppings such as coconut whipped cream, strawberries, and maple syrup.
