Instructions
- Grease the skillet with olive oil and preheat it over medium-low heat.
- In a bowl, combine the water or non-dairy milk, starch, maple syrup, and cinnamon, and mix well.
- Dip a slice of bread into the mixture, coating both sides quickly to avoid sogginess.
- Place the coated bread in the skillet and let it sizzle.
- After 2 to 3 minutes, flip the bread and cook the other side, flipping every minute or two until golden.
- Repeat with the remaining bread and mixture, stirring the mixture each time.
- Keep the cooked slices warm in an oven until all are cooked.
- Serve warm with fruit and maple syrup if desired.
