Homemade Granola Bars

The binding

honey or brown rice syrup

almond butter or nut butter of choice

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F and line a 13 x 9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the oats, cashews, dried cherries, sunflower seeds, brown rice cereal, and sea salt.
- In a medium saucepan, heat the honey or brown rice syrup, almond butter, and vanilla extract until smooth, stirring frequently.
- Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly and pressing it down firmly.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then cut into bars while still warm.
- Let the bars cool completely for another hour before removing them from the pan.
