Ingredients

The nuts

  • 2 cups raw cashews
  • 1 cup raw almonds

The sweetener and spices

  • ¼ cup coconut sugar
  • 1 ½ Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ Tbsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C) and roast the cashews and almonds on a baking sheet for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden.
  2. Transfer the roasted nuts to a food processor or high-speed blender and process until smooth, which may take 10-12 minutes.
  3. Once smooth, add the coconut sugar, spices, and sea salt, and process again for about 1 minute.
  4. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness or spices as desired, then process once more to combine.
  5. Transfer the nut butter to a jar and store at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
