Instructions
- Chop one pineapple slice into small pieces and slice the green onions and Monterey Jack cheese.
- In a bowl, combine ground pork, chopped pineapple, green onions, shredded cheese, and 2 Tbsp teriyaki sauce, then mix well.
- Shape the mixture into four burger patties, making them flatter than desired as they will shrink while cooking.
- Slice the red onion and heat ½ Tbsp cooking oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, adding the onions to caramelize them.
- Once browned, transfer the onions to a bowl and reduce heat to medium, adding another ½ Tbsp oil to the skillet.
- Cook the burger patties in the skillet for about 5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
- Pat dry four pineapple slices and add them to the skillet, cooking until heated through and browned.
- Mix mayonnaise and sriracha in a small bowl.
- Assemble the burgers with sriracha mayo on the bun, a burger patty, teriyaki sauce, a pineapple slice, and caramelized onions.
