Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- If using homemade pizza dough, prepare it according to the recipe; otherwise, let store-bought dough come to room temperature.
- Dice the tofu into 1-inch cubes and mix with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the tofu on the baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes until golden.
- Sauté sliced red onion in a skillet with olive oil for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Increase the oven temperature to 500°F and roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch round.
- Transfer the dough to a preheated pizza stone or baking sheet, and spread BBQ sauce on it, leaving a 1-inch border.
- Layer half of the cheese, tofu, and onions, then add the remaining toppings.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Let the pizza rest for a few minutes before slicing and garnish with fresh basil.
