Ingredients

The salmon

  • 2 6-oz salmon fillets

The glaze

  • 1 Tbsp grass-fed butter or ghee
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1/16 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp tamari or coconut aminos
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 green onion thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C) and grease a baking dish with butter or ghee.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in the dish and brush with the remaining butter or ghee, then sprinkle with sea salt and pepper.
  3. In a saucepan, combine honey, lemon juice, tamari, minced garlic, and cayenne pepper to make the glaze.
  4. Bring the glaze mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 5-6 minutes until thickened.
  5. While the glaze is reducing, bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, adjusting based on thickness.
  6. Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and spoon half of the glaze over the fillets.
  7. Top the salmon with green onion slices and sesame seeds, then serve immediately.
