Ingredients

The salmon

  • 4 fillets salmon
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

The glaze

  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • tablespoons chopped parsley
  • for serving lemon wedges (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and season salmon with salt and pepper.
  2. Place salmon skin side up in the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  3. Remove salmon from the pan and cover with foil to keep warm.
  4. Add minced garlic to the pan and cook for 30 seconds.
  5. Add water, lemon juice, soy sauce, and honey to the pan and bring to a simmer.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with 1 tablespoon cold water, then slowly pour into the pan while whisking.
  7. Bring the sauce to a boil and cook for 1 minute until thickened.
  8. Return the salmon to the pan and spoon the sauce over the top.
  9. Sprinkle with parsley and serve with lemon wedges if desired.
