Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, greasing it lightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the chilled buttermilk and melted butter until the butter forms small clumps.
- Add the buttermilk mixture to the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
- Using a greased ¼-cup measuring cup, scoop out the dough and drop it onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1½ inches apart.
- Bake the biscuits for 13 to 15 minutes until golden brown, then brush with additional melted butter before serving warm.
