Easy Hummus Pasta

Ingredients

The pasta

  • 12 ounces pasta of choice

The sauce

  • ¾ cup prepared hummus
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to package directions. Reserve some pasta cooking water before draining.
  2. 2. In a skillet, combine hummus, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add ⅓ cup of reserved pasta water and whisk until creamy. Adjust with more water if needed.
  3. 3. Toss the hot pasta with the hummus sauce until well coated. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve warm, optionally garnished with crushed red pepper flakes and fresh basil.
