Crazy Good Chopped Italian Sliders

Ingredients

The sliders

  • 12 pieces slider buns
  • 6 oz deli meats (turkey and ham, or sliced chicken breast)
  • 3 oz turkey pepperoni
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 head romaine lettuce
  • small red onion or sweet onion
  • ½ green bell pepper green bell pepper
  • ½ cup banana peppers
  • 1 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 small clove garlic (finely minced)

The dressing

  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp parmesan cheese
  • 1 small clove garlic (finely minced)
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat and slice the slider buns in half.
  3. Brush the tops of the slider buns with a mixture of minced garlic and melted butter.
  4. Chop the deli meat and place it on the bottom half of the slider buns, then add provolone cheese on top.
  5. Toast the sliders in the oven for 10 minutes until the tops are golden brown.
  6. While the sliders are toasting, chop the romaine lettuce, onion, bell pepper, and banana peppers, and add them to a bowl.
  7. In a separate bowl, whisk together the dressing ingredients and toss the chopped salad in the dressing.
  8. Once the sliders are done, top the meat and cheese with the chopped salad and assemble the sandwiches.
