The squash

  • 1 unit spaghetti squash

The oil

  • to drizzle unit olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the spaghetti squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds and pulpy center.
  3. Drizzle the cut sides with olive oil and place them cut-side-up on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes until the edges are caramelized and the squash is fork-tender but still firm.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Pat any excess liquid with a paper towel.
  6. Using a fork, scrape the flesh to create spaghetti-like strands.
