Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and coat a jelly roll pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until pale and fluffy, then add eggs and mix well.
- Incorporate mashed banana and vanilla, then gradually mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
- Spread the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean, then cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth, then gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled bars and cut into squares to serve.
