Broccoli Gratin

Instructions
- 1. Bring water to a boil and blanch the broccoli florets for 2 minutes, then cool in cold water for 10 minutes and drain.
- 2. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- 3. In a saucepan, melt half of the butter over medium heat, whisk in the flour, then stir in the milk and season with salt, nutmeg, and pepper, stirring until combined.
- 4. In a greased baking dish, layer the broccoli, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, and pour the milk mixture over it.
- 5. Melt the remaining butter in a skillet, add breadcrumbs, and cook until golden brown, then sprinkle over the gratin.
- 6. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly, then serve hot.
