Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole-wheat pastry flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup raisins
  • cups whole milk plain yogurt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cut the butter into small chunks and mix it into the flour mixture until crumbly.
  4. Stir in the raisins, then add the yogurt and mix until the dough comes together.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface, pat it to about 1 inch thick, and cut out biscuits.
  6. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
