Ingredients

  • 8 pieces medium to large mushroom caps
  • 3 ounces lump or claw crab meat
  • ½ teaspoon finely chopped Italian parsley
  • ½ teaspoon finely chopped red peppers
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • ¼ teaspoon sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon old bay seasoning
  • 1 ounce marsala wine

Instructions

  1. Mix mayonnaise, parsley, peppers, sugar, old bay, and egg yolk to create the imperial sauce.
  2. Fold the imperial sauce into the crab meat gently.
  3. Remove the stem from each mushroom cap and clean out any remaining pieces.
  4. Trim the bottom of the mushroom caps to ensure they sit flat.
  5. Fill the mushroom caps with the crab imperial mixture, mounding it on top.
  6. Place the filled caps in a baking dish and pour marsala wine into the bottom.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes.
