Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking dish with about ½ inch of water.
- In a mixing bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt, then stir together.
- Add chopped butter to the mixture and use fingers or a fork to create crumbles.
- Scoop out the centers of the apples, removing the core and seeds while keeping the bottom intact.
- Fill each apple with the crumble mixture and place them in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the apples are softened but still firm, and the topping is crispy.
- Serve warm.
