Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, pour boiling water over the oats and let stand for 10 minutes.
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar using a mixer.
- Add the eggs and mix until just combined.
- Stir in the oatmeal mixture.
- Add the flour, baking soda, and cocoa powder until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in half of the chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Grease a 9x13 inch pan with flour and butter.
- Pour the batter into the pan and top with the remaining chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
