Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and grease a baking pan or skillet with softened butter.
- In a large bowl, mix the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and honey.
- Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs.
- Cool for at least 10 minutes, cut into pieces, and serve.
